Why choose a workshop or a one-day course?

Individual workshops in banjo / guitar / voice / mandolin / bouzouki as well as events, masterclasses, camps or an intensive course that extends over a shorter period of time, are ideal for those who want to learn quickly or immerse themselves in a special topic and have the opportunity to geek out fully. Often it can also be an opportunity to get training from some experts within a specific niche or genre, who otherwise do not offer training very often. Regardless of whether you are a beginner or experienced, adult or child, there are both social and musical advantages to group lessons. When you learn together, you also learn from each other and that makes the experience greater.

Regardless of what you choose, we guarantee that all teachers at MusicTeachers.co.uk have already undergone a teacher approval process including a review of their professional background and experience, enhanced DBS/PVG and criminal record check. It is part of the service we offer, to ensure that the quality and safety are always top notch.

Cancellation policy

Once a purchase has been made, one-time events and intro sessions are non-refundable.

If the teacher falls ill, or if the lesson is cancelled for another reason, you will, as far as feasible, always receive a notification as soon as possible via your inbox on your profile and/or by email. In the first instance, a reasonable replacement date and time will be scheduled. If this is not possible, a refund will be provided.

In instances where the teacher has set a minimum viable number of students and this is not met 7 days before the event, the event will be cancelled. You will be notified via email and a full refund will be provided.

Séamus is a patient, dedicated, and professional music tutor as well as a talented musician. He brings a positive approach to every lesson, making them enjoyable, and adapts his teaching style to suit different learning preferences. He's skilled at breaking complex information into manageable steps and guiding you to learn something new. Over time, each element built naturally on the last, until everything began to fall into place like a puzzle - and suddenly, notes sounded clearer and melodies flowed more naturally. Although I’ve always had a passion for music, I never knew how to play, so I felt compelled to learn from an experienced tutor - and it has now become one of my favourite hobbies. Since having the lessons, I’ve gone from knowing nothing about guitar to feeling a real connection with the music I can now create. If you're thinking about taking lessons online or in person, go for it - I highly recommend Séamus' lessons.

As a mature pupil and brand new to the mandolin, I was honestly nervous about starting music lessons but am I pleased I have. Séamus quickly put me at ease and mapped out a lesson structure which I think works very well and is enjoyable as well as giving me things to aim towards. I find him to be patient with a wicked sense of humour and his musicality is great. All very necessary qualities in my music teacher! Here’s to travelling down many a mandolin road with him.
