Arrange the date and time for a lesson and your teacher will take care of the booking, which will show in your account. The first lesson is the perfect place to get to know your teacher and make a plan for your learning.
Depending on how your teacher likes to work, you can expect to receive a lesson offer to arrange the tuition directly via a private link, or a recommendation to purchase a block of lessons. Both options require lessons to be paid for in advance. You can read more about the different options here.
You are now ready to explore the world of music with your teacher. During the first lesson, you can discuss the frequency and duration of future lessons as you progress. Be it an hour a week or 30 minutes here and there, MusicTeachers.co.uk is here to support you and take the hassle out of arranging lessons. Most importantly; we hope you have a lot of fun!
Type in your instrument or city/postcode to discover the group classes and special events happening in your area. All teachers must go through a careful vetting process for safety and professionalism before offering a class, meaning you can be confident that the groups described on MusicTeachers.co.uk are of good quality.
Confirm your place in the group by following the instructions on the page to register and making payment. If you don’t have an account yet, you will be asked to create one when registering. To ensure a good quality experience, places in a group are limited and offered on a first come first served basis. If you have questions, you’re welcome to message the teacher before signing up to a group or event.
Some classes begin with an intro session. Like a taster where you can experience the group before committing to regular classes. Teacher will instruct you on what to do if you’d like to sign up for the full term afterwards.
Make use of the group messaging system in the inbox of your account to introduce yourself to fellow group members. If you have any questions ahead of the session, you can message your teacher from inside your account too.
Hit the ground running and make sure you have all you need for a successful group experience. Your teacher will let you know if you need to bring resources or equipment. Aim to arrive early and double check your route if it’s a new location for you.
Group sessions and special events are here to celebrate that making music is more meaningful when it’s shared. Enjoy the experience and most of all, have fun!
