Tommy is one of the best teachers I've ever encountered. He has an enormous wealth of experience with the guitar, music in general, and the mindset that goes with it. I'd spend eight years faffing around pretending I was "learning to play the guitar", but after just five sessions with Tommy, I'd progressed more than in those eight years prior. There is no substitute in life for having a proper mentor, someone to keep you accountable, inspire you, and move you forward. Tommy's teaching abilities, combined with his work as a session musician and musician in his own right, is a combination that everybody should get involved with. Miserable people say that "those who can't do, teach". Tommy can teach it, and he can bloody well do it.

Tommy is a brilliant teacher. He takes the time to understand what I’d like to achieve and tailors lessons around this, taking things step by step so it always feels achievable, while introducing new styles and techniques that I’d never have tried otherwise. He’s patient, calm and thoughtful in his tuition, and always has an insider musician anecdote to share! His passion for music shines through, it’s always a pleasure to learn with Tommy!

I am absolutely thrilled with the experience I've had with Tommy. From the very first lesson, his experience, expertise and passion for music shines through. Tommy is an incredibly skilled guitarist and bassist, his teaching style caters to my theoretical (somewhat) understanding of music as he breaks down techniques and theory into manageable pieces, whilst pushing me on my weaknesses. This is making it easy for me to not only grasp the Bass but also really enjoy learning and the meditative side of it.
