I’ve been playing guitar for around 20 years, but like many musicians, I hit the dreaded intermediate plateau and struggled to move past it alone. Deciding to take lessons was one of the best decisions I’ve made, and I’m so glad I found Tom. He took the time during our first session to truly understand my playing history, challenges, and aspirations. His structured yet flexible approach keeps things focused while allowing room for creativity and fun. What sets Tom apart is his ability to break down complex techniques and concepts into manageable, bite-sized pieces that actually stick. He’s not only a talented guitarist but also an outstanding teacher who knows how to communicate effectively (unsurprising given his background as a doctor), and genuinely just a great guy to chat to! His passion for music and teaching is evident in every session, and his enthusiasm is infectious. Whether we’re working on rhythm, lead, or theory, every lesson feels like a step forward. I also love the thoughtful extras he provides, like detailed session notes and recap videos, which make practice between lessons so much easier. It's been abundantly clear from the start that Tom is 100% invested in his clients and genuinely takes pride in seeing them progress along their journey as a musician.

Tom is absolutely spot on, makes the lessons super enjoyable and relaxed and is just an all round great person. Would highly recommend, really knows his stuff as well!

Absolutely fantastic tutor! We are so pleased we found Tom for our son’s guitar sessions! My son is loving these sessions, Tom is so easy to get on with and my son is a nervous , shy lad but feels as ease with Tom. He is over the moon that he is into ‘cool music ‘ as they have the same tastes ! Tom has personalised the lessons specifically to my son’s taste/interests in music and this has made the sessions so much more enjoyable!
