Tom is a great teacher. Friendly, motivting and the lessons are always engaging. My son comes away from every lesson feeling like he has accomplished something. Definitely recommend.

Tom is an absolutely amazing tutor. I have tried to learn guitar several times and always given up, but Tom has definitely given me the tools for me to succeed. His style of teaching is extremely relaxed and without doubt I now feel much more confident. Tom has a great way of making it all make sense, and the video summaries of the lessons are sent out as a reminder and teaching aid. 5 stars all the way!!!

Tom is an excellent teacher. He has been incredibly sensitive and intuitive when teaching my grandson and taken the time to understand him as an individual. This has meant an under confident child is thriving during his guitar lessons and enjoying every minute. Thank you so much

I started taking lessons with Tom, having never played the guitar before. I was extremely nervous starting out but I was made to feel comfortable straight away. Tom as a teacher is patient, easy to get along with, encouraging and is great at explaining things in a way that makes sense to you! I leave every lesson a step closer to my goal and I always feel like I have accomplished something which motivates me for my next lesson. My experience learning the electric guitar so far has been fun, and I will be keeping it up. I cant recommend him enough!

Tom is a great guitar teacher. He made my lessons personalised around the songs I wanted to learn and it has been really enjoyable learning guitar. Tom will answer all my questions I throw at him and explain them in a way that's understable as a learner. He also sends video recaps of lessons so i can learn with ease at home and provides personal feedback after lessons. You can tell he's very passionate about guitar and carries alot of positive energy about him. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to start as a total beginner like I was.

I initially chose Tom for lessons from the good vibes of his profile, along with a convenient location for me and the “Neurodiverse legends welcome” in his description. I started with him as an intermediate level player, I felt I’d reached a limit on self teaching and was struggling with direction on where to go next with guitar playing. I’ve been having lessons with Tom every fortnight now since around October 2024 and I’ve been really enjoying these lessons and my guitar playing has improved significantly. With Tom I really appreciate: - attention to detail of guitar technique, making sure we’re learning and playing things the best way from the start - Learning the songs that I want to be able to play - Breaking songs down by each note and phase and gradually building up each section of the song - The videos recapping a lesson are so useful to refer back to, along with notes in a word document of what was covered - Tom’s enthusiasm for all things music, whether that’s playing live, guitars and equipment etc. - Tom also took the time outside of lessons to do a complete setup of my new guitar and apply a vinyl stripe I’d highly recommend Tom to anyone for lessons, regardless of experience level

I’ve been playing guitar for around 20 years, but like many musicians, I hit the dreaded intermediate plateau and struggled to move past it alone. Deciding to take lessons was one of the best decisions I’ve made, and I’m so glad I found Tom. After just five lessons, I’ve seen incredible progress, and my practice routine is more effective and rewarding than ever before. Tom has a unique ability to tailor and adapt each lesson to my goals, interests, and skill level. He took the time during our first session to truly understand my playing history, challenges, and aspirations. His structured yet flexible approach keeps things focused while allowing room for creativity and fun. What sets Tom apart is his ability to break down complex techniques and concepts into manageable, bite-sized pieces that actually stick. He’s not only a talented guitarist but also an outstanding teacher who knows how to communicate effectively (unsurprising given his background as a doctor), and genuinely just a great guy to chat to! His passion for music and teaching is evident in every session, and his enthusiasm is infectious. Whether we’re working on rhythm, lead, or theory, every lesson feels like a step forward. I also love the thoughtful extras he provides, like detailed session notes and recap videos, which make practice between lessons so much easier. It's been abundantly clear from the start that Tom is 100% invested in his clients and genuinely takes pride in seeing them progress along their journey as a musician.

Tom is absolutely spot on, makes the lessons super enjoyable and relaxed and is just an all round great person. Would highly recommend, really knows his stuff as well!

Absolutely fantastic tutor! We are so pleased we found Tom for our son’s guitar sessions! My son is loving these sessions, Tom is so easy to get on with and my son is a nervous , shy lad but feels as ease with Tom. He is over the moon that he is into ‘cool music ‘ as they have the same tastes ! Tom has personalised the lessons specifically to my son’s taste/interests in music and this has made the sessions so much more enjoyable! Tom has been a fantastic teacher. I have always been a lover of rock/metal music but never had the confidence to give it a go. Tom has made learning extremely easy and i have made significant progress in playing in what i would consider a fairly short period of time. I would highly recommend Tom to any beginners wishing to learn guitar.

Tom is a fantastic teacher! He has a great way of explaining things, his onboarding process was very detailed, and I am already noticing improvements in my playing after just a few lessons. As an intermediate player, Tom has been super useful in helping me to identify and fill in the gaps in my playing. Highly recommended!

Can not recommend Tom highly enough. I first booked Tom at the start of the year after my daughter got a guitar for Christmas. Bearing in mind she has never even picked a guitar up before. I messaged Tom and he asked plenty of questions to get to know my daughter and what she was after from lessons and who her role models were and favourite artists etc and then adapted her learning round that. My daughter looks forward to her lessons with Tom every week and he has really helped her become more confident. If you're looking for a professional, friendly and reliable music tutor then I would say Tom is the perfect tutor for you no matter what level you're currently at.

Tom is really passionate about music. He has a wide interest in different genres and really comes alive when listening, playing or talking about music. Tom has such a warm personality. He is patient and supportive. I'm sure he'll take great pride in nurturing other budding musicians to discover their potential.
