Tom is an exceptional guitar teacher. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach, he takes the time to understand how you learn and tailors lessons accordingly. Every lesson comes with clear notes and practice materials, and he’s always happy to share additional resources between sessions to help you keep progressing. He’s knowledgeable, encouraging, and incredibly patient. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to refine your playing, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.

Darla has had a wonderful introduction to learning the electric guitar. I booked her in for a few lessons with Tom after going to see Oasis live in concert and decided she wanted to be a rock star. At age 12 I know this sort of idea can be a bit of a whim. But after meeting Tom, she settled straight away and warmed to his quiet and calm nature. Next thing we bought her a guitar and I've never seen her so happy strumming on this instrument. Never once did she say she didn't want to go to lessons. As she progressed and practiced and I could recognise the chords she was playing, and Tom's words of encouragement really engaged her. Tom is a wonderful teacher and musician. And we have only had to stop having lessons due to the erratic bristol traffic and our journeys home taking up to 2hrs. We've managed to get her private lessons in school ( she was adamant in the beginning she didn't want to learn at school ) and she is confident enough now to do these lessons.
