Darla has had a wonderful introduction to learning the electric guitar. I booked her in for a few lessons with Tom after going to see Oasis live in concert and decided she wanted to be a rock star. At age 12 I know this sort of idea can be a bit of a whim. But after meeting Tom, she settled straight away and warmed to his quiet and calm nature. Next thing we bought her a guitar and I've never seen her so happy strumming on this instrument. Never once did she say she didn't want to go to lessons. As she progressed and practiced and I could recognise the chords she was playing, and Tom's words of encouragement really engaged her. Tom is a wonderful teacher and musician. And we have only had to stop having lessons due to the erratic bristol traffic and our journeys home taking up to 2hrs. We've managed to get her private lessons in school ( she was adamant in the beginning she didn't want to learn at school ) and she is confident enough now to do these lessons. And believe Tom has given her all the confidence and inspiration she needs to continue. Thank you Tom. We will keep in touch. Highly recommended *****

Very helpful and educated teacher

Tom is an excellent teacher. When I first started 4 months ago I’d never played a guitar, my confidence since has gone from strength to strength. I’d been told different things by different people about playing left or right handed, many told me to force myself to play right handed. Tom guided me through playing left handed and it feels so natural now. Tom has a great curriculum to follow but is happy to help you progress in a personal direction or song riff that you wish to practice. His lessons are structured but not pushy. There isn’t an expectation to reach a certain level or practice a certain amount between lessons. I highly recommend Tom as a teacher!
