Ross Hicks is a talented and intuitive pianist and has proved himself a skilful teacher and mentor. He is a knowledgable musician and a patient tutor.

As a mature jazz singer I have both performed with and listened to Ross play in a band scenario. A 2 hour session 1-1, Ross had independently isolated areas for my development and we spent the afternoon working on each skill and setting targets for my improvement. He created scenarios to resolve musically, and was very clear in explaining the task. I found the session stimulating and well considered and very useful practically in a gig situation.

Ross has been teaching me piano for a few months now. He has been very helpful in guiding me since I was a complete beginner at piano. The lessons we have feel like they go by very quickly as they're very enjoyable.
