Nick has been a great tutor - calm and patient, but full of enthusiasm for helping me develop my double bass playing. I'm a mature learner and have found him to be an excellent teacher and very flexible to adapt his teaching to my own needs (which has varied from learning jazz to playing in a country dance band!). Would highly recommend him.

Nick has been a brilliant teacher for me, having never picked up an instrument before in my life, at the age of 46, he has taught me bass literally from the ground up! Fun, engaging lesssons and importantly for me as someone who works long, irregular hours, flexible too. Can't recommend enough!

Nick is a great teacher, enthusiastic and engaged. Good at listening and finding out what it is youre looking for in his lessons and adjusting accordingly. He draws from experience both theoretical and practical that comes out in an approachable way. I always loon forward to my lessons with Nick.

Nick has been an amazing teacher. His approach is very much aimed at what your personal goals and musical interests are during the lesson. He is very encouraging which really helps to keep you motivated during the lessons and it also helps with keeping up the practice too! I was definitely sceptical on how online teaching would be at first, but I feel so at ease and comfortable with Nick it really works out so well this way. I love how knowledgeable Nick is on not only the practical side but also the theory too! It has given me the confidence to get back into music after years of not playing, so I am so grateful for the encouragement the lessons having given me to get back into something I love to do. I would 100% recommend Nick as your teacher if you want to learn bass. It will be so worth it!!
