Max is very kind and supportive. He approaches singing techniques in a way I haven’t experienced before, combining advanced breath techniques with the physiology of the vocal cords and neck muscles. I have always had issues with my vocal cords feeling strained, but now I have finally found techniques that help prevent this issue.

Max is a great teacher, very knowledgeable, friendly and importantly very organised! He has a range of explanations and exercises that really help demystify singing technique, and a systematic approach that takes the guesswork out of trying to progress. I have learnt (and am still learning) a lot in every lesson, and would really recommend Max to anyone who's thinking about taking lessons - there's no subsitute for having someone who knows their stuff (and knows how to teach) guiding you through the learning process!

Max is a great tutor, he's very patient and explains things very clearly and deliberately. I've been struggling to learn to sing for quite a while, but this is the first time I can actually notice my voice getting stronger and more clear. I've only been taking lessons once a week for a few months, but it's definitely a noticeable and good improvement.

Amazing teacher! Each class is packed with information that allows you to fully understand what, how and why to do something. The atmosphere during lessons is really relaxed which makes learning even easier. Over the course of about 6 months I have seen progress in my singing abilities but also general music knowledge. Each class is customised to your needs as Max also offers classes in music theory and music production which can greatly compliment singing classes. I feel incredibly lucky that I crossed paths with Max and would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone who wants to start or come back to his music journey.

Max is amazing. I’m a very late starter to singing lessons, having struggled along all my adult life without knowing why I couldn’t sing a song without jumping octaves half way through a verse, or line, sometimes multiple times. Max has started at the beginning, taught me how to breathe and what not to do, and now we’re getting on to the fun bit of putting the theory into practice. My mission is to be able to sing while playing my guitar without people running for cover with their hands over their ears - and I think Max is going to be the answer. Highly recommended.

I've been taking vocal lessons with Max for around 6-8 months now and honestly, he's tremendously good. He's positive, patient, eloquent, and has a knack for the art of relating new and complex information in ways that are simple enough to grasp and relate to the lesson. I'm much more confident in my singing now than I have been for years. I can intonate more consistently, hold notes for longer, and I've got an increasingly nuanced sense of what my voice is doing and how I can exercise control over it. tl;dr Max is great and I recommend him in no uncertain terms!

Max is a very smart and well spoken teacher. He explains everything so well and clear it’s basically impossible to not learn from it I have learnt so much in the production side of things with mixing and mastering, and on the singing side of things he is incredible as well his breathing technique is amazing and he is really good at helping shape your voice!! Would definitely recommend him to anyone that wants to learn singing or production!!

Max has been a fantastic tutor so far, and I'm still learning & improving week-on-week. I started with the aim of improving on my singing volume and stamina, and have picked up loads of helpful extras along the way. Working with Max I've been able to expand my range so I can sing quite a bit higher than I ever thought possible, we've worked on distorted/aggresive singing and improving the intensity of my singing at lower volumes. I've also learned a lot more about the ability to sing with consistent volume and depth across my range. All the new skills that I've picked up have worked together to make me feel like a more rounded vocalist, and my confidence has grown as a result. Max is a great tutor, and I would fully recommend him as someone to improve both physical ability and mental confidence when it comes to singing.

Max is highly technically skilled and a very friendly and welcoming teacher. To say his singing teaching is personalised would be to sell him short - I've been constantly impressed with his analytical and adaptable approach, and with his anatomical knowledge, and it seems he always knows exactly what exercise will address the present need. Amazing Teacher! As someone who had no formal musical training, Max was able to help be grasp the basics with effective exercises and the use of analogies that are not only very memorable but helped me understand the theory of the physical mechanics of singing. Max has been amazing! My vocal range has stretched at both ends, I have much more control, my transition to/from head voice is barely noticeable and I've even started to add some distortion. Fantastic. Only a few lessons in for singing but have already increased my chest voice by an octave. Brilliant for all experience levels, but I am speaking as a person who loves to sing with no formal tuition. Excited to see what we can achieve.
