About Liz R.

Liz Rossi is a former sub principal member of the Hallé Orchestra who now freelances with most orchestras in the North, has over 25 years teaching experience; from teaching beginners at Junior Strings project RNCM and schools across south Manchester plus over 10 years at JRNCM to grade 8, diploma, undergraduate level and beyond.

Many of her students are now professional players or still play for pleasure, returning for lessons into adulthood.

She also delivers tailored plans for structured practice for all levels and ages giving students confidence in the face of what can seem a daunting instrument.

Liz is a teacher, player and communicator of the highest standard. One of her Grade 8 violin pupils recently moved to London where she is now studying at Diploma level with a colleague of mine (a Professor at The Guildhall School of Music & Drama.) I have seen her perform, lead orchestras & her own string quartet, and play at the Royal Albert Hall with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and with the Hallé Orchestra. She is an all-round excellent human & brilliant teacher.
