As a beginner on the saxophone I needed lessons that could be at my pace and what I wanted. Katherine is very patient and helpful through difficult musical pieces. She helped me play a piece for a special occasion in front of an audience in which she accompanied me. I can’t praise her enough and always look forward to and enjoy her lessons. I’m now going through my grades. Her teaching method is what ever I want to learn, but she puts her helpful teaching skills within the lessons without you really noticing. I would recommend her to anybody wanting to learn a musical instrument.

I need more stars to be able to rate her. She is fabulous. She taught my son a special song, who had never played any instrument, in three months or less. Apart from that, many techniques and styles in a very didactic way, very easy to understand. Thank you Kathryn for your help in this beautiful family project.

I am an adult student learning clarinet from scratch and continuing with Music Theory grade 3. I feel that with Kathryn’s support and tuition I have managed to progress well. Kathryn is a knowledgeable and interesting teacher who has taken lessons at my pace, and adapted to any setbacks there have been a few since starting, including not having a clarinet in time! Her teaching makes clarinet lessons something to look forward to and you feel encouraged to practice. I really wish Kathryn also taught cello, I might be able to take up that instrument again and actually enjoy it this time!
