I've been learning piano from Johnny as a forty-something beginner for about a year now, and he has steadily built up my knowledge and skills with patience and close attention. He structures lessons with my aims and tastes in mind, sets excercises to practice between sessions, and is always happy to help when I have questions about musical details.

As someone in their mid-thirties it can be daunting learning a new instrument, Johnny has been amazing and I can't think of anyone better to begin my piano journey with. His lessons are conducted in a relaxed atmosphere and he really takes the time to make sure you understand the lessons while still tailoring the lesson to the type of music you enjoy. I highly recommended Johnny for any beginner or even someone with some experience that needs a refresher.

As a recent beginner on piano, I’d had some online teaching but I wanted an in person lesson to check my technique with a different teacher. Johnny was very positive and showed me a number of tweaks to improve my playing. I felt listened to and came away full of positives. Highly recommended
