My 8 year old son has been seeing Joel for nearly a year and taking little (but very important) steps in mastering recording and composition software along related piano and songwriting/composition skills. He absolutely loves his sessions with Joel, and enthusiasm is King when it comes to getting ahead! Joel has a relaxed style backed up by a great depth of knowledge and expertise. Anyone at any stage of the game for piano, software, composition etc. is going to get great results from sessions with him.

We've started learning piano as a family, 3 children and 1 adult, (ages 5-40) with Joel. We are all learning at different paces and Joel is very patient with our varying speeds. As someone who dreaded lessons when I was a child , I am grateful for Joel's gentle approach and patience. Joel is really reliable, always on time (he comes to our home) and has also been flexible about weeks when we've been away. I would definitely recommend Joel.

Joel has been teaching my 11 year old son and my 8 year old daughter now for over 10 weeks. My son loves having Joel as his piano teacher! He finds him friendly, patient and fun; and a good music instructor. My son is progressing really well. My daughter is on the autism spectrum and I wasn’t sure how she would respond to formal lessons. Joel has been so good with her. She loves going for her piano lessons and actually listens to him and engages. He is really good with them both. He communicates well and has been amenable to a range of requests. I’m really pleased we were able to find a music teacher like him!
