Jo has helped me develop my accordion playing immensely. As someone who was self taught I had a few bad habits to iron out on my posture and fingering, it's nice to get reminded of the basics. Jo has introduced me to a much wider range of accordion music and playing styles. She has been really flexible with how I want to structure the lessons and when we have them.

Jo is an excellent teacher, as an older student she really helped me on my way with my accordion lessons. The whole system is a really useful way of learning and the technical support is also second to none. The staff are always ready to sort out any issue that may arise.

Jo is an excellent teacher with an incredible amount of knowledge not just about the instrument I am playing but relating it to the piano to help my understanding. She helped give me enough confidence to join a large folk band - even if i do stand at the back with my accordion for the moment!

Jo is a fantastic teacher - patient, knowledgable, friendly and very adaptable based on previous experience (or lack thereof!) and musical interests. I'm still early on in my accordion journey but fully credit Jo for getting me set up from the beginning with well explained technique and pieces that are both challenging and a joy to play.

Jo is an amazing teacher! She started teaching me the accordion last year and I immediately felt totally at ease with her. As well as her wide range of musical skills, knowledge and experience, she also has a talent for adapting teaching to make it very personalised. As a result she teaches at the necessary pace, is good at finding the appropriate explanation that I can understand and selects music that I will enjoy learning because it appeals to me and is FUN! Whether it be Face to Face or on Zoom, I always enjoy my lessons and I never worry about asking a question nor making mistakes. Whatever instrument you are wanting to learn with her, I totally recommend Jo because these qualities will shine through any lesson with her! Kirsty

Joanna is an excellent teacher! A great teacher for adult beginners and has plenty of patience. I'm just starting out at the age of 54. Joanna keeps me inspired and motivated as I train to become better at playing, its early days but really enjoy my lessons. Currently learning on line and seems to be working out ok. Dave Morgan

Lessons with Jo are well paced and with a good focus on technique and playing musically which are important to me as a beginner. She supports with great resources and also encourages me to go beyond myself so I feel I’m making really good progress. I thoroughly enjoy my lessons and look forward to them every week. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

Jo adapted her skills in the pandemic to teach me beginners piano online. She was encouraging, gave me a variety of exercises and was keen to adapt the teaching to my interests. I learned a lot in a short period of time.
