I’ve been taking guitar lessons with Jamie, and I honestly couldn’t recommend him more highly. He is an incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and encouraging teacher who makes every lesson enjoyable and productive. Jamie explains techniques clearly and always takes the time to make sure everything makes sense before moving on. What I appreciate most is how he adapts lessons to suit my goals and skill level. Whether we’re working on basic chords, improving technique, or learning songs I enjoy, Jamie keeps the lessons engaging and motivating. Jamie taught my son aged 10-12 from Jul19-Apr22. He was professional, encouraging, tech-savvy (software, video lessons with useful camera angles) and prepared detailed feedback on video submissions. Impressed by his proficiency with fretted instruments + different genres, insistence on correct technique and posture (all sorely lacking in my son's previous teacher) and meticulous advice on fingering and alternative ways of playing a note/chord/bar. Couldn't have asked for much more.

Jamie is a great music teacher with a passion for his subject. Over the time that I was Jamie's line manager he taught a number of pupils both in individual and group capacity. Jamie has a good manner with childre and is very positive and encouraging. His pupils always made excellent progress and performed regularly in concerts. In the wider school context, Jamie was always willing to give extra time to attend and support concerts and school events.
