My five year old son started online drum lessons with Ian in September and we couldn’t recommend him more highly. My son has learnt so much in such a short time and finishes his lesson buzzing with excitement and eager for the next one. Ian puts a huge amount of time and effort to ensure the lessons are fun and educational. My son chooses what songs he would like to learn (drum and bass mainly!) and Ian makes it happen-he has developed a personalised playlist that we can add too. I was concerned that online lessons might not work as well as face to face as my son is pretty high energy but Ian really keeps him engaged throughout the lesson. He obviously has a huge amount of experience working with children. It is also extremely convenient to not have to taxi him around and the lessons are much easier to reschedule if we have another commitment at his regular lesson time.

Ian is a great teacher who in a short time has improved my technique and the way I understand the structure of playing. I’ve been playing mainly bongos for nearly 30 years and although I had reached a level , Ian in a short period of time has understood where I’m at and made me a better musician. I couldn’t recommend him enough and a lovely guy , thanks Ian.
