About Holly. Voice and performance
I have been teaching for 15 years and have over 30 years of experience as a performer and professional singer.
Whether you are looking to take exams, sing for fun or perform on stage, I believe singing can be both therapeutic and rewarding. Standing up in front of people can be scary, but with the right encouragement, it can be very enjoyable.
Voice and performance studios offer lessons to all ages and abilities, providing a positive and friendly environment where you can achieve your goals and build confidence. I guide students through sessions tailored to each individual, working on various exercises that help to improve their vocal technique and performance ability so they can enjoy singing your favourite songs and more!
ONLINE LESSONS
in 2020 we were forced, like so many others, to adapt our way of working. In time we realised just how many benefits there are to remote learning. Perhaps you have a busy schedule, are unable to travel or would prefer to learn from the comfort of your own home. Students can now decide how they would like to learn and we have created an online learning experience that works for all abilities. Remote lessons available via zoom.
EXPERIENCE
My love for singing began as a young child after seeing my big sister sing on stage. I signed up for lessons with her teacher and continued to train and perform over many years until I gained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Musical theatre. I have explored a broad range of vocal disciplines including: Music theatre, contemporary styles, Rock and Pop, Folk and classical. I have toured throughout the UK at prestigious venues, appeared as a leading role in a variety of musicals and been hired as vocalist for private events such as weddings, Cabaret and private functions. One of the most rewarding aspect of my career has been teaching. Since 2010 I have taught for a number of theatre, dance and music schools and have created unique and personalised learning experiences for every pupil.
Students have achieved excellent results in both exams and festivals with many having performed lead roles in Musicals for both amateur and professional companies. I also enjoy preparing young performers for auditions, with many being accepted to multiple drama schools.
Whatever your personal goal, I hope to help you achieve it.
