Studying violin with Henry has been a truly meaningful experience for me. He is not only an exceptional teacher, but someone who genuinely cares about his students and their growth. His patience, encouragement, and deep understanding of music create a lesson environment where you feel supported and motivated, even when things are challenging. He has a wonderful way of helping you believe in yourself while pushing you to become better, both technically and musically. Also he helps you achieve the goals you have by preparing a proper curriculum and push you towards the goal all the while keeping your overall growth in mind.

Henry is an absolutely amazing teacher. He is incredibly patient, understanding, and genuinely supportive, especially during times when my confidence is low or I’m struggling with something new. He’s always happy to let me set the pace, and this really makes my learning feel safe, encouraging, and never overwhelming. What really sets him apart is how flexible and student focused he is. He’s more than happy to humour my ideas, and always lets me focus on specific things or pieces I want to learn. Along with that his scheduling flexibility is also a huge plus, and shows how much he cares about making the lessons work for us, his students. I’ve studied both violin and piano with Henry, and have enjoyed both immensly. On top of all that, he’s fun, polite, and always a pleasure to learn from. Lessons are something that I genuinely look forward to. I couldn’t recommend him highly enough, he’s a fantastic teacher!

My 13 year old has recently started violin lessons with Henry, and he is such a great teacher. He is really friendly, calm and encouraging. He is intuitive and adjusts the lessons to match the speed of learning, making the lessons fun and constructive, with enough of a challenge to push skills and learning. He has helped with setting up the violin and ensured there is understanding of how the instrument works. The lessons are a really nice mix of practice, skill and theory.

Henry is a great teacher. Always answers my questions and ask for inputs on how I would like to progress the lessons. Example: which music genre would I like to try. He has also been great in sharing sheet music and provides links to any equipment he would recommend.

Henry is a fantastic teacher and I'd highly recommend him to anybody looking to learn piano! He tailors his lessons towards my needs and makes an effort to remember what I was learning on the previous lesson. Before starting piano lessons, I'd gotten a bit lost trying to teach myself, but that's all turned around since I started lessons with Henry. He gives me direction on what I need to learn and how I need to go about learning it. He explains things in a way that makes sense to me, which is something that I really appreciate! My daughter had been practicing violin when she was young and had decided to take a break a few years ago to see if she needed some changes. When we found Henry's profile here we were impressed with his qualifications and experience. We thought that he would be a good fit for inspiring my daughter for picking up her violin again and we were right! Henry is such a great teacher as he is capable of bringing out the best of my daughter's capability.
