About Emma
Have you always wanted to learn an instrument? Do you have those beautiful songs you always wished you could play? Or are you looking to pass your exam? Whatever your goals are, I help you through them in fun, engaging 1-1 lessons!
Sessions are tailored to you and your goals and desires. I specialise in classical music, but can help with all genres. I can teach note reading, music theory, composition and creativity, as well as help with exam prep too. Get in touch today and we can get started on achieving your goals!
Emma has been a private instrumental and music theory teacher for over 6 years, working with students of all ages.
She has a degree in Orchestral Performance, where she studied clarinet, saxophone, flute and piano. She also holds an ATCL Diploma in clarinet, grade 8 in saxophone and grade 6 in piano. More recently, she has been involved with co-founding a small band of original music, of which she was a co-composer and performer.

What started off as something to keep my 6yr old boy occupied during the lockdown(2021, online zoom lessons) has continued with utmost interest and sincerity so much so that he has chosen it be one of his top 3 "what I want to be when I grow up" thing...all thanks to Emma.
MS. Francis is an extremely patient and intuitive person as a teacher with a gentle soul, the right kind of traits you'd want your child's music teacher to possess. Being a student of music all her life, she knows her stuff inside-out.
She uses a number of innovative ways to keep my child's interest at a peak so that music learning doesn't ever seem forced or cumbersome as it does quite often to adult students as well, in spite of the fact that the lessons still being online(we have moved away from zoom to skype -better audio!).
My child scored a distinction in his Grade 1(ABRSM) piano exam and looks forward to his weekly piano lessons and practices diligently all because of Emma's approach to teaching music. He's currently doing his Grade 3(ABRSM).
I am truly grateful to her for all that she does and hope she continues to be a major part of my child's musical journey(she has promised that!) for as long as possible.
