Despina has been an amazing tutor, I thought I would never play a guitar, let alone have some sort of musical acumen. But now I am able to confidently play the guitar. The classes are extremely fun and I learn a lot. She also includes some music theory which I find very fascinating. Would highly recommend her.

Despina’s great! I’ve been playing electric guitar for 16 years. I knew barely any theory and had never touched a classical guitar. Despite that, Despina had no problem tailoring her lessons to my needs while keeping them engaging, even with my mixed background. Her lessons are fun and rewarding, and her insight into the way we play music has helped me improve not just in classical guitar, but in music playing as a whole. 100% recommend!

I have been playing guitar for over 50 years but I have never been able to sight read the music. I have recently begun to play classical guitar so I wanted help in reading music for classical guitar. Despina is my ideal teacher. For someone of my age (79) she is patient but focused and supportive. She helps with my understanding of the finer points of music and translating these to the guitar. A perfect match for me. I am enjoying the process which is also important.

Really glad I booked lessons. I'm having so much fun learning how to read music and play Classical guitar. The lesson plan is really clear and Despina is very knowledgeable, guiding when needed and giving the vital feedback that I didn't get by doing app based lessons.

Despina is a great teacher (I'm having Music Theory lessons). I'm starting in my mid-30s, so am naturally a slower learner, but Despina is very patient and takes time to make sure that I'm picking everything up. Highly recommend.

Despina is an excellent and very talented guitar teacher. She has taught my children guitar for the last two years, and because of her skills, ability to teach and patience they have both done extremely well and passed their graded exams. They are now preparing to sit for Grade 8 and 5 respectively. My children enjoy their lessons and have gained a lot of confidence. I highly recommend her teaching at all levels.

Despoina is very knowledgeable, talented and nice. The lessons are fun, she is good at assessing where I struggle and seems to have endless solutions of things to try. She is a pleasant person with a nice smile and laugh which helps keep the lessons fun. She will correct everything without ever making you feel bad. As an adult learner I have total confidence in her abilities, If I were searching for a teacher for kids, I think she could be very good but maybe doesn't have the goof ball nature that some kids really need

I started as a beginner taking lessons with Despoina a year ago, and I thoroughly recommend her as a teacher. Whether you're new to guitar or more experienced, Despoina has the knowledge, skills and patience (very important in my case!) to teach any level and any style. She's also great fun and (if you're nice to her) she might teach you fun Cypriot folk songs from her homeland! :-)
