David is an excellent drum teacher. I’ve been playing for 30 years but needed foundational lessons on stick control, rudiments, and sight-reading. We got straight to it, quickly learning the Moeller grip on his drums. The lessons are stretching me, and each week we do something new. I’m really enjoying playing for David. I'd never even held a drumstick before, apart from of the chicken variety, and even that was over 20 years ago. So I was a complete Muppet on the drums - more Beaker than Animal. But by the end of my hour lesson with David, I was "drumming like Charlie Watts". A pathological liar, David is the best kind of teacher - kind, encouraging and wise. He even lent me his Korn drumsticks... [insert another food joke - Korn/Quorn... I'm here all week, BOOM-TISH!].
