I started lessons with Clara towards the end of last year/start of this year with some experience in clarinet and wanting to learn to play the piccolo flute. I went from not being able to make a single sound with the piccolo flute to being able to play some of the more complicated tunes in the songbooks I'd been gifted at christmas, and being confident enough to be able to play the piccolo flute at events where people play folk music together, and have successfully played in front of people. Clara was a fantastic teacher, very friendly and very good at nudging me in the right directions with the lessons, as well as giving me lots of pointers on resources for further learning. It reminded me that learning new instruments is a lot of fun and I really enjoyed myself over our time working together. I am extremely happy with the lessons I had with her and highly recommend anyone who wants to learn a first, second, third etc. instrument go to her.

I feel so comfortable while learning from Clara. She is leading nicely and wisley.

We’ve had a great experience with Clara as my 6 year old son’s piano teacher. He usually struggles with focus, but during his lessons with Clara, he is completely engaged and attentive ,it’s honestly lovely to see! Clara is fantastic with young children. She’s incredibly friendly, patient, and takes the time to explain things in a way that really clicks with my son. He feels comfortable with her and always looks forward to his lessons — which is saying a lot, because we’ve tried several extracurricular activities before, and he usually gives up after a few weeks. Piano with Clara is the first one he’s truly enjoyed and stayed enthusiastic about. Another bonus we love is getting to see her gorgeous dog every week. We’re so grateful to have found Clara and would highly recommend her to any parent looking for a kind, skilled teacher who connects so well with children!
