I was a nervous absolute (adult) beginner on the trombone (although I could read music due to a lifetime singing in various choirs) and Chris encouraged and supported me quite excellently. He gave me so much advice and many hints on how to improve, building my confidence and competence, with great kindness and humour, but also knowing when to gently criticise and push me a bit harder. Since my lessons with Chris, I have moved to the Isle of Man and joined Balley Cashtal Brass Band, which is the training band for Castletown Metropolitan Silver Band. I absolutely love it, and can't thank Chris enough for giving me such a good start.

Chris has been an exceptional and inspirational tutor for my son. He has nurtured him and his playing over the last 9 years all the way to grade 8 trumpet, and has frequently supported his involvement in other playing events. My son has enjoyed every lesson and gets on well with Chris. We can't recommend him highly enough!
