I've been taking online viola lessons with Charlotte. As a more advanced player, I was looking for a teacher who could help me explore and refine my technique, and she has been incredibly helpful and accommodating as I've worked out exactly what I want from lessons. What I've particularly appreciated is the amount of time we've spent discussing technique and the mental side of playing. She has the ability to take quite sophisticated ideas and explain them in a way that makes immediate sense. More than once I've found myself thinking, "Why has nobody explained it like that before?" Some of her insights have genuinely been transformative for my playing. Even though we've only had a few lessons, I've already come away with new ideas that have changed the way I approach certain aspects of my playing. The online format works very well, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for thoughtful, inspiring, and engaging viola tuition.

Charlotte is fantastic; As an adult learner, and not entirely new to the violin, she quickly understood my abilities & goals and tailored her teaching style to my needs. She's always helpful, cheerful and punctual, so I always look forward to my lessons. I've made far more progress in the last 5 months or so than I ever would have expected.

Charlotte is an absolute joy to have lessons with. She has the patience of a saint and is always encouraging, and as a new older viola student, it hasn't been easy to listen to 🫣. I'm making steady progress, which suits me and that feels good.
