About Betty Accorsi
I am an Italian multi-instrumentalist and award winner, with a focus on Saxophone. I have studied Jazz Saxophone at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire in Greenwich and at Goldsmiths University of London. Fully DBS checked and with 6 years teaching experience.
Playing saxophone since age 8, I initially complemented it with classical guitar. The years at the Conservatoire of Milan gave me the opportunity to study classical saxophone and piano.
I have accrued years of experience teaching piano, saxophone and music theory to children and adults. I taught for 5 years as private tutor, as well as PPA music teacher cover and as keyboard and woodwind teacher for the music service. In the meantime, I have gigged with all sorts of groups ranging from classical saxophone ensembles, to folk group, jazz bands and a progressive rock band! You can find my currents project, Sloth In The City and Betty Accorsi Quartet, on YouTube.
I am happy to teach anyone of any level in the Brighton area; my curriculum makes me particularly suited for the jazz saxophonist who would like a teacher and an accompanist and may also be curious about composing their own material, but I am equally at home with classical students and piano students alike. From this year, I can teach also flute and clarinet for beginners as well.
