I am an adult learner with no experience taking music lessons for any instrument, let alone the violin. Ben is very patient and adapts his lessons to the learners needs, pace and musical interests. He is quick to recognise challenges week-to-week and always knows the right exercise to help you improve on your sticking points. I always leave our lessons feeling motivated and excited to practice some tunes at home!

My daughter enjoys her violin lesson’s with Ben. His ability to keep her engaged and excited about learning is impressive. He balances structure with fun. He is patient, encouraging and knows how to connect with a curious, energetic 6 year old. We couldn’t be happier with the positive experience he creates each week.

I’ve just started learning violin for the first time, and already feel like I’ve made a lot of progress on lesson 5 with Ben. From session 1, he opened clear communication about goals and how he can help with them - starting as a fairly clueless beginner, I found this really helpful. He’s very patient and accommodating, but is also great at giving an achievable challenge to push you just a little further forward. Couldn’t recommend him enough!
