Speaking from the perspective of someone who long desired to play the piano, it can be hard to know where to start. As a 30 year old with no musical experience, I had tried to learn independently but found I was overwhelmed by the often conflicting information presented online and as a result I ended up procrastinating and not making any progress. I realised if I wanted to learn I would need a teacher. Then I found Anna, she was extremely patient when teaching me the baby-steps and I quickly progressed, became much more comfortable and began to intuitively play according to the fundamentals learned in our initial lessons. Anna ’s calm and experienced presence have given me the confidence to pursue playing even when I reach a stumbling whereas before I might of lost confidence and given up. From musical theory, the Italian to English translation of musical terms to the subtleties in how our fingers should operate the keys, Anna is a wealth of knowledge. A highly recommended teacher!
