Alex is an exceptional musician and an incredible mentor, with a strong devotion to the students’ growth. I take trumpet classes with Alex, and one thing I love about his teaching is that he clearly explains why I need to practise certain exercises and the physics behind Trumpet playing. I've always felt that Alex genuinely wants his students to succeed, and he works hard to help them. I am an autistic individual; English is not my first language; and I appreciate direct, unambiguous instructions. Alex is very patient with me and is ready to repeat concepts and exercises as many times as I have requested while following his standard curriculum. He also never uses unprofessional language in class. Because he is also a fantastic piano player, he accompanies me when I play trumpet, and it’s a wonderful experience. Alex knows music theory inside out, and he is happy to explain whenever I show interest. Thank you, Alex, for being a great teacher.

Alex is an excellent teacher and I thoroughly enjoy piano lessons with him. He is knowledgable, welcoming and his attention to proper technique is invaluable. He finds various ways to explain things that make it easy to remember when practising and I feel that I really get the most out of my lessons with him.
