About Yang Yang
I’m a concert pianist with a passion for sharing music through teaching. I trained at the Royal College of Music in London and have performed internationally as a soloist and chamber musician. I bring this experience into every lesson, making sure my students feel both inspired and supported.
Lessons
I teach students of all levels from the age of 6, from beginners to advanced pianists preparing for auditions or competitions. My lessons are tailored to each individual — whether you’re learning for fun, aiming for ABRSM/Trinity exams, or building a serious repertoire.
I also offer guidance in:
• Performance preparation
• Sight-reading & aural skills
• Music theory & interpretation
Instruments
Piano (classical, contemporary, and personal interpretation)
I also incorporate basic music theory into lessons when useful.
First Lesson
In our first session, we’ll discuss your musical background, interests, and goals. It’s also a chance to get to know each other and see if we’re a good fit. You don’t need anything prepared — just bring your curiosity and any questions you have.
Location
I teach in person at my home in W2 postcode area, at the student's home within a reasonable distance, and at a piano studio in W2 postcode area. I also offer lessons Online using Zoom, Teams or MusicTeachers Online Classroom. Please send me a message to discuss travel costs if you wish to take lessons at your home.
Professional Work
As a professional performer, I regularly appear at festivals and concert halls across Europe. This active concert life allows me to offer unique insight into the artistry and discipline behind the music — something I love passing on to students who want to grow as musicians.
