Timalka is a singer and artist based in Hertfordshire who teaches online classes to children/teens and adults who would like to develop their vocal abilities as well as begin to learn the fundamentals of music theory.
She is an experienced teacher who has been teaching students from a range of ages - from beginner to intermediate levels. She has worked in school environments teaching children in KS1, secondary school teens through to adults.
Her lessons are primarily online from her home in Hertfordshire at the moment.
Singing Lessons
Timalka is passionate about teaching others how to bring out their own unique vocal qualities and to enjoy the wonderful therapy of singing.
She has been teaching students with a variety of goals and interests. She can help students prepare for school performances and theatre auditions, develop their own unique vocal style and also prepare for vocal exams if this is of interest to you.
She mainly focuses on pop, folk and theatre singing as she has been trained in Popular Vocal Music through LCM achieving a Distinction at Grade 8.
Music theory Lessons
Timalka also teaches music theory lessons to beginners in a fun and digestable way using workbooks as well as transferring the skills taught in a practical way through compositions. She is experienced with the ABRSM curriculum and can prepare students for theory exams upon request.
Timalka finds music theory an essential tool in her practice as an artist especially when writing melodies and coming up with chords for songs. It is a worthwhile investment to all aspiring singers, songwriters and musicians.
