Thomas only teaches from the Finsbury Park studio on Wednesdays . Wednesday evenings get busy so an afternoon time would be preferable, but he is happy to discuss what works for you.
Drum lessons:
Thomas teaches at a private space with 2 drum kits for a back-and-forth learning experience! Whether you want to follow Rockschool or Trinity grades or simply have fun learning your favourite songs, he tailors lessons to suit your goals. All ages and abilities welcomed!
After your first message, Thomas will ask a couple of simple questions to give him an idea of what you need from your lessons. You can even book in a free 15-minute call for a chit-chat if you'd like to meet him first. He has taught a wide range of students, from complete beginners learning basic rock grooves to advanced drummers refining their independence for Latin jazz. You don't need to bring anything with you, just turn up and give it a go!
A little bit about Thomas:
Thomas holds a First-Class degree in Music Performance from LCCM, a Trinity Diploma in Drum Kit, and finished his Grade 8 in Drums in 2021. As a session musician based in London, he's performed at venues like Ronnie Scott’s, Troxy, the London Jazz Festival, Moth Club, Pizza Express Jazz Club and Soho House, working with a wide range of artists across different styles. Thomas is DBS checked and has a NSPCC Child Protection for Tutors certification, so feel assured that your lessons take place in a safe and supportive environment.
Where can lessons take place?
Face-to-face lessons will take place at these locations:
Monday, Tuesday - At the student's home within a reasonable distance of NW10*
Wednesday - Finsbury Park
Online lessons can also take place - either using the MusicTeachers Online Classroom or another video conferencing system to be agreed. Contact Thomas for further details.
*Please note that only hour-long lessons will be considered at a student's home. Students will need to have a drum kit available at their home for lessons - either an acoustic or electric kit.
