I have a Bachelor's degree of Music with honours, my studies were at The Sage Gateshead. While attending university I played with the royal northern sinfonia among other established ensembles, and since graduating have been teaching and performing full time. I perform and lead a range of different ensembles, from function bands to jazz groups, and often perform with DJs. As well at teaching privately I have been the woodwind tutor at JG Windows in the historic central arcade of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne since 2020.

I specialise in pop, rock, jazz, and other closely related musics. I'm more than happy to get you up to standard for passing grades and other exams but my main focus is on developing my student's connection with the saxophone, and learning how to play music so that you can perform by yourself and with other musicians, with confidence!
