About Tara
Tara Lily is a friendly teacher with a big heart - an established artist teaching jazz and pop singing, music meditation, improvisation and also offers support with industry advice. Graduating from the prestigious Trinity Laban conservatoire with a degree in Jazz to performing at the Royal Albert Hall and Glastonbury. Tara has had a successful career in music and has very good knowledge of the music industry. She has also studied Meditation techniques and can include that in the lesson if requested. ♥️
A lesson with me will be tailored specifically for you and your needs - everyone is different and has different goals, these are some options for classes, you can choose what you'd like to do :)
Vocal Technique:
- Being able to use all parts of your voice safely and effectively
- Create a clearer tone, smoother transitions, increasing strength and power i.e. belting.
- With good technique you will be able to sing any style of music!
Pop / Jazz Repertoire:
- Looking at pop songs, jazz standards, or any songs you would like to learn including developing your own songs.
Improvisation:
- Learning how to improvise, using your voice as an instrument, transcribing jazz pieces
Performance/ Industry skills:
- I would like to support young emerging artists who want to develop their own sound, live performance and anyone seeking industry support or advice! Having been a performer for almost 10 years, completed two major record deals with Universal music and toured all over the world I have a lot of experience for anyone who would like to develop their professional career --- from first steps to big decisions.
Spirituality and wellness
- Guided meditation to relax vocal chords and support breathing
- How to take care of your voice
