About Tara

Looking for a down-to-earth, no judgement, vocal coach who will tailor lessons to suit your needs and skill level? Look no further.

Tara's speciality is to work with beginners to find their voice and support their artist journey from the very outset. Her goal as a coach is to help students be versatile in their instrument and able to excel with a varying selection of genres while developing their confidence and own unique style as an artist.

A lesson with Tara would contain:
• Scale practices, vocal and breathing exercises.
• Artist development.
• Developing confidence/ stage performance skills.
• Practising and developing a professional repertoire.
• Support in developing songwriting skills if requested.
• Learning about vocal anatomy and good vocal health.
• With a good level of piano playing ability, Tara can accompany your lessons.
• Most importantly working on your unique voice and goals as an artist.

Tara is an experienced vocalist and coach, with in-depth knowledge from 10+ years working as an industry professional, and prior 1 on 1 teaching experience. She has performed at well-known venues, both in bands and in musical productions, such as Rock City in Nottingham, The Curve Theatre in Leicester, Splendour Festival in Nottingham, The Lexington in London and many more.

Achieved a 1st-class award in Contemporary Music Performance at the University of Wolverhampton. Tara has released music with her band Express Office Portico. Having worked in lead roles in musicals as well as bands and solo acts of varying genres, from Indie to Metal Tara's stylistic knowledge is flexible and transcends the vast majority of contemporary styles. She has a relaxed and creative approach to teaching, encouraging students to bring their true selves to sessions.
