About Tara
Training - Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA) / London School of Musical Theatre (LSMT). I am classically trained with a grade 8 from the Royal Irish Academy of Music. Since I left college I have been performing all over the world with various companies performing in their production shows. I have been performing professionally now for 10+ years.
I started teaching privately two years ago as a full time job. I have also been teaching singing classes at a number of stage schools across Northamptonshire and giving masterclasses to stage schools outside of Northamptonshire online. In these two years I have been teaching private lessons to adults and children of all ages and stages.
In these private lessons you will learn:
-The importance of breathing correctly
-The importance of diction - tongue twisters are a fantastic way of improving your diction.
-The importance of warming up the voice with vocal warm ups and cooling down after each session.
-Relaxation techniques to steer you away from straining whilst you sing.
In our first lesson we will choose a song that you enjoy singing. I will help you overcome any fears you might have of singing and help you reach those notes that you aren't confident with. I do encourage that after a few lessons you choose a song that challenges you, it might be a song you think is too high or too low for you, or a song with high notes you find difficult to reach.
Confidence - One of the things I love most about teaching is seeing a student's confidence grow from lesson to lesson. I think singing helps so much with your self confidence and singing a song a day can make a person feel so happy. So if you are a beginner and thinking about having your first singing lesson don't hesitate to contact me. You will really enjoy the lesson.
Please feel free to message me if you would like a lesson or if you have any questions.
