I am extremely passionate about teaching and sharing music. Over the past 6 years I have gained a variety of teaching experience, providing one to one lessons, working in schools, leading ensembles and leading and designing workshops. This means I have developed a versatile approach to education, adapting my teaching methods to suit a wide range of learning styles and environments.

My teaching style is student centred, I prioritise enjoyment as I believe this nurtures development. My students are encouraged to research and discover music which they are passionate about, and our lessons are tailored to this. I believe that technique is extremely important and place emphasis on this, regardless of standard, to ensure playing is natural and easy. I welcome students of any age and ability.

As a musician myself I enjoy many styles of music, and perform with orchestras, chamber ensembles, and session ensembles regularly. I studied my BMus at the RNCM where I had the opportunity to work with many exceptional musicians and now freelance in Manchester.

I hold an Enhanced DBS certificate, public liability insurance provided by the Independent Society of Musicians and am safeguarding trained by the Times Educational Supplement (TES).
