About Stuart N. C.
Stuart is an experienced teacher in flute, clarinet, saxophone, piano/keyboard and theory, having taught for many years both privately and within education authorities.
What you can expect during your lessons
During your first lesson, Stuart likes to discuss your musical interests and aspirations, discovering what you would ultimately like to achieve from your learning, such as exam qualifications, determining your present level in order to structure your lessons to suit.
If you do not already have an instrument, Stuart is able to advise you on what is best to buy - possessing an instrument is a prerequisite to starting lessons.
Stuart’s belief is that in order to make progress you should practice regularly.
Stuart offers lessons online, and also face to face tuition which he carries out in his home studio in Southport.
My experience as a teacher
Stuart has many years of experience working within education authorities and colleges, including for Surrey Arts which involved teaching in different schools and music centres. Privately, he has taught from both his home studio and online. Stuart will provide more details of his experience if required.
Many of Stuart's pupils take exams for Associated Board and Trinity College.
