About me
I am a professional freelance flautist, also offering keyboard tuition. Having grown up in Edinburgh, I graduated with a Bachelor's in Musicology from King’s College London and then from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with a Masters in flute performance. As a flautist, I have played frequently with Birmingham Royal Ballet, Northern Ballet and Opera North.
I held the flute seat on the Phantom of the Opera Middle East and European Tours. I have also played on the Mary Poppins and Miss Saigon UK Tours.
As a student, I won the British Flute Society Young Artist Competition and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama’s Needlemakers’ competition for woodwind. Before moving to London, I played with the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain and the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland.
As well as being primarily a flautist, I am also a proficient pianist and gladly offer piano tuition, having accompanied regularly as a répétiteur for both the King’s College London Opera Society and Musical Theatre Society. I have accompanied numerous students in both university examinations and ABRSM examinations.
