Simon totally inspired my son, he coached him with his performance as well as his practical music. He is a natural music teacher and I would recommend him to anyone, thoroughly professional whilst making my son feel able to ask questions and continue to improve .

Simon was very thoughtful and insightful in the way he showed me how to improve my playing. Pointing out things I hadn’t even noticed I was doing that were affecting my playing, and offering lots of advice and help to play much better . Highly recommend. I was also a member of an orchestra he ran and this was lots of fun. Even when I accidentally played the completely wrong piece !

Simon was my wife's violin teacher. She had been taught by others, but with mixed success. With Simon it was a different story. He could gently build her confidence and to bring out her musicality. A rare ability in a teacher. Simon has many musical abilities, including composing in styles spanning classical and electronica. I have also seen Simon giving professional level performances on the viola and violin. He brings all this background to his teaching, yet in an unassuming way.
