About Sharon
Sharon is a professionally trained Musical Theatre performer and singer with over 20 years performance experience in plays, pantomimes, musicals, concerts and revues. She trained at Suffolk New College (BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts), PPA Guildford (Foundation Course in Musical Theatre) and Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (Cardiff), graduating in 2014 with an MA in Musical Theatre.
She has been teaching singing privately since April 2019. She has also run adult and junior workshops for local groups including Stowmarket Operatic and Dramatic Society adult and youth sections, Co-op Juniors and PQA and has acted as vocal coach/MD for a number of amateur productions. She currently works as a vocal tutor in a number of colleges and schools alongside teaching students privately.
At RWCMD she was trained in the Estill method of singing. This focuses on the physical processes of using muscles to create different vocal qualities and sounds and she utilises these in her individual lessons.
