About Sarah
Sarah Kong is a qualified Music Teacher and Music Therapist which means her approach to teaching offers empathy, patience and encouragement. Sarah teaches both piano and flute at a variety of different levels.
Sarah has been in the field for 20 years and has experience teaching primary and secondary children including SEN, adults and the elderly.
Sarah is passionate about the positive effects of music and the impact it has on resilience and emotional well-being.
Sarah is registered with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) to enable pupils to sit their practical exams, the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Association for Music Therapy (BAMT). Sarah also has an updated DBS certificate on the Update service and is regularly trained in Keeping Children Safe in Education and Safeguarding Adults.
Sarah offers fun, engaging piano and flute lessons that encourage students to progress and feel confident in their piano/flute playing. Sarah works at a pace individual to each student, taking into account preferences and ways of learning that are adaptable and most effective for each person to achieve their potential.
