About Sam Adams

Sam is a fully qualified classroom music teacher at secondary and sixth form college level. He has taught A Level Music, Popular Music and Music Technology courses as well as teaching saxophone one to one. He has facilitated visiting musicians to present and lead workshops for his college students: Tomorrow Warriors (Binker Golding), Mark Lockheart and pianist Nikki Yeoh. He has also lead ensembles that have gone on to perform at London’s Albert Hall as part of Music for Youth.

His saxophone tuition has developed considerably in the last few years and has taken on a wide variety of students at different stages in their life from 7 years right up to learners that now have the time to learn and enjoy playing the saxophone following retirement. Sam is familiar with Associated Board Royal School of Music syllabus (both classical and jazz)

Sam performs sold out shows in the United Kingdom and Europe as a saxophonist and lead vocalist for ska and reggae bands Gold Steppers, The Dualers and Bad Manners. The last album Sam contributed and performed on (Palm Trees and 80 Degrees) entered the UK Album Charts at number 5 and Sam is continuing to write songs for his solo album. He is also due to perform at Wembley Arena and other large scale arenas as well as Glastonbury Festival. Additionally, he has performed with Neo Soul legend, Omar and 80’s pop act, Yazz (The Only Way is Up).

He continues to enjoy working with his ‘extended musical family’ - award winning tribute band - ‘And Finally...Phil Collins - a tribute to Phil Collins’ (Acknowledged by Phil Collins himself!). Sam performed at La Cigale in Paris and has performed in other parts of Europe as well as extensively in the UK. Other productions have included ‘Talon: Best of The Eagles’ and ‘Amy: A Tribute to Amy Winehouse’ and now with ‘It’s Not Unusual’ produced by The Entertainers.
