I have thoroughly enjoyed learning to play the sax with Sam. His outstanding playing has inspired and enthused me, which together with his ability to convey playing techniques and music theory clearly and concisely, has enabled me to make huge progress and really enjoy playing the sax. Sam is an enthusiastic and highly knowledgable musician. More importantly, he is a patient and effective teacher, meaning he can apply and transfer his depth of knowledge very effectively and have an immediate impact on a student's learning. I personally found him to be very good at explaining conepts in a range of different ways and honing in on the practice that would be effective in my improvement. He also made me a playlist of songs to work on, which is now my go-to reference for Jazz.
