About Samuel

I am a multi-Instrumentalist who trained at the London College of Music - apart from performing in a Beatles tribute band in Majorca and playing bass in pit bands for musicals and pantomimes, I've also worked in education for around 5 years and have extensive experience working with children (including SEN).

I've played Electric/Acoustic Guitar since I was 14, and have a Grade 8 Distinction on this instrument. I've worked as a guitarist/vocalist in the Let It Beatles touring around Majorca and have played in showbands for musicals as examples of work I've done on guitar.

I have a Grade 6 Distinction on Bass Guitar, and have worked around London playing for pantomime showbands and for school musicals on bass.

I trained professionally as a vocalist for 5 years, and have a wide variety of credits including professional choirs, musical theatre, backing vocalist in a house band in a large theatre and playing the lead male in an opera whilst I was at uni.

I've played Double Bass for 5 years now, and play with a local jazz group in Derby, rehearsing every week.
I've also played banjo and mandolin for 5 years.

I can also offer advice, guidance and teaching for composition and music theory.

I will listen to what it is you want to get out of the instrument and what songs you want to play, and I will give you the technique, the theory and the information you need to attain your goal.
