About Samuel
Additional Testimonials:
As a completely novice learner it's impossible to compare the attributes of different guitar tutors. All I can say about Sam is that he is endlessly patient, problem-solves in a very accessible way, provides a diverse range of practice material to aid understanding and technique, is very friendly and has a sense of humour!
Highly recommended. - David (67), Ashbourne Derbyshire
Sam is not only a very talented multi instrumentalist and singer, he is also a kind and patient teacher. His infectious enthusiasm helps the learning process and his willingness to accompany his pupil, on whatever instruments are to hand, means his lessons are always great fun - Stephen (69) Ashbourne Derbyshire
I am a Multi-Instrumentalist who trained at the London College of Music. I play a total of 8 different instruments.
My diverse range of experience includes performing in a Beatles tribute in Majorca, busking, playing in pubs and also pit bands for musicals and pantomimes. Additionally, I've also worked in education for around 5 years and have extensive experience working with children (including specialising with SEN).
I've played Electric/Acoustic Guitar since I was 14, and have a Grade 8 Distinction. My experience includes working s a guitarist/vocalist touring Majorca, playing and singing in various pubs and playing in showbands for Musical Theatre.
I have a Grade 6 Distinction on Bass Guitar, and have worked around London playing for pantomime showbands and for school musicals.
I have trained professionally as a vocalist for 5 years, and have a wide variety of credits including professional choirs, musical theatre, backing vocalist for a house band in a large theatre and even opera.
I've played Double Bass for 5 years now, performing live on multiple occasions for pubs and open mics with a Jazz band I played with in Derby.
I have played banjo and mandolin for 5 years and enjoy playing country, bluegrass and pop songs.
I can also offer advice, guidance and teaching for composition and music theory.
