Sam is a highly experienced saxophonist, clarinetist and composer and has been teaching both privately and in schools for the past 15 years. Sam started his career as a jazz musician and now works predominantly as a composer for Film & TV. He is passionate about teaching and can offer expert tuition on a range of disciplines:

- Saxophone
- Clarinet
- Improvisation (for any instrument)
- Composition (general & specifically for Film/TV)
- Music technology (Logic, Sibelius, Pro Tools)
- Orchestration / Arranging
- Grade 5 theory

His approach is very relaxed and friendly and each lesson is tailored to suit individual needs. Sam has helped many students successfully sit ABRSM Grades but is also very experienced in motivating and providing frameworks for students who do not wish to do exams.

As a composer Sam’s recent credits include composing additional music for Sony Pictures upcoming feature Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire alongside composer Dario Marianelli, music programming on Warner Bros. Wonka and orchestrating HBO / BBC’s His Dark Materials Season 3.

And as a performer, Sam regularly plays with the likes of Alfa Mist, Waaju, Misha Mullov-Abbado & Jordan Rakei and has performed at The Barbican, Royal Festival Hall and many others, as well as touring internationally.
