About Ross G.

Ross has worked as a performer for over ten years, working with some of the biggest names in folk, pop and classical music.
Although he now specialises in folk music he was originally classically trained as a violinist from the age of six years old. He then went on to study Music at the University of East Anglia. After graduating from his degree, Ross stayed in Norwich for eight years, where he was a guest lecturer at the University and ran workshops at Aldeburgh Music in Suffolk.

Whilst in Norwich, Ross spent eight years teaching on the world renowned 'Sistema' music programme. This project aims to use music to make social change in young people from difficult backgrounds. His work saw him work with young people in music across Europe in one to one, chamber and large orchestral settings. With such a breadth of experience, Ross brings a very unique and positive approach to learning music. Ross' passion and love for the violin and music itself is infectious and creates a very uplifting learning process for the student.
