About Rosie

Rosie studied Classical Singing at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Rosie’s education and experience has allowed her to develop an inclusive, creative and supportive singing teaching approach. Rosie began teaching in her final year and completed an MSc in Psychology of Education which gave her insight to how individuals process, learn and perform music. She also has knowledge and experience in teaching pupil’s with specific learning differences such as Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, AD(H)D and Autism. Rosie is also interested in Performance Psychology especially for Musicians, Actors, Dancers and Performers and uses these performance techniques in her lessons. She also holds ABRSM Grade 8 Singing, ABRSM Grade 5 Music Theory, and LAMDA Grade 8 Acting. Rosie’s teaching especially considers the student’s wellbeing to give them the confidence to grow and succeed.

Teaching in Vocals
Rosie teaches vocals and welcomes all abilities from beginners to advanced, from ages 6 and above. Rosie provides a calm, accessible and fun environment to enhance the student’s learning process and potential by using approaches to best suit the pupil.

Genre
Rosie specialises in Musical Theatre and Classical, but teaches all vocal genres including Pop and Jazz. Rosie also offers performance coaching on text, script and monologues.

First lesson
In the first lesson, Rosie will have a welcome chat to get to know you. This might be talking about what you would like from the sessions, your hopes and goals, and what you like to sing. Rosie will then start with some warm-up exercises, and maybe hear you sing a piece or song so she can listen and get to know your voice. After that, Rosie will go through a plan with you for the next steps.

Beginners
