About Rosa
Rosa is a composer, actor-musician, musical director and teacher based in south-east London. She trained at Rose Bruford College on their prestigious BA Actor-Musicianship course and is now working on several new musical theater projects as a composer. She started learning the piano and flute as a child and taught herself guitar and bass as a teenager alongside training as a classical vocalist. Her varied musical education allows her to bring a variety of different approaches to her teaching, enabling her to adapt to each students’ specific needs. Rosa loves working with new students and getting to spread her love of music with others, whatever your goals, she looks forward to working together to achieving them and more!
Singing Lessons
Rosa offers singing lessons to singers at any stage of their vocal journey. She will help you reach your goals, develop technique and build confidence and understanding in your voice. She is delighted to work with vocalists from ages 8 and above.
She can help you with:
- Breathwork
- Vocal technique and understanding of the voice
- Pitch accuracy and musicality
- Advanced vocal styles (Belting/Riffing etc.)
- Working on/finding new repertoire
- Audition preparation
- Graded Exam preparation
Rosa is particularly knowledgable about musical theater and pop/rock singing and has an extensive repertoire of songs that she can bring to work on with her students.
Guitar Lessons
As somebody who initially learnt guitar to accompany herself singing, Rosa has fallen in love with the intstrument and its capabilities and loves to share that with students from beginners through to intermediate learners. Rosa can teach with either an acoustic or electric focus.
Lessons may include:
- Technique and understanding of the instrument
- Scales and basic theory
- Chords and strumming
- Fingerpicking and using a plectrum
- Working on songs
- Using the guitar to accompany yourself singing
Rosa can also help you prepare for graded examinations in Rock Guitar through to Grade 5.
