Had a great time learning bass with Rory. He made sure I had a theoretical base covered, while also focusing on the areas where I wanted to improve. Strongly recommended if you ever wanted to go beyond just playing tabs.

Meeting and working with Rory is truly the best thing that has ever happened to my bass playing. He has an unbelievable ability to tailor lessons to what interests you while infusing them with theory and technical practice making every session a complete joy. We have worked in person together and remotely and there has never been a moment that I didn’t feel like I was receiving the best teaching possible. My dad plays the guitar and one of my favorite things is to jam with him, but for so long I would struggle mightily to keep up given my lack of deep understanding of musical theory and the instrument itself, but since working with Rory my dad constantly comments on how improved I am and we jam and improvise together all the time. Literally none of that would be possible without Rory’s teaching. On top of all of this, Rory is just the loveliest guy and always a joy to be around.

I've been taking lessons now for close to a year, I had been playing bass self taught for a couple of years but had plateaued and lost direction. Rory quickly spotted some fundamental errors in my technique and gaps in my knowledge of theory. He's helped me to break through the plateau and see continuous improvement over the past 10 months. Honestly one of the best investments in myself I've ever made. He's charming and patient as well as incredibly knowledgeable, his passion for music, bass and production is infectious and I look forward to my lesson every week.
