Rory is an experienced tutor and performer. He was professionally trained in Electric Guitar at Leeds Conservatoire, graduating with a BA (Hons) in Popular music. He is a passionate musician and is keen to share this with all of his students. Although specialising in electric guitar, he is also able to deliver tuition on both Acoustic and Bass Guitar.

What to expect
Rory's lessons are tailored to each individual student, whether they want to take a more formal, exam based approach or if they just want to play fun. As a prolific performer, he has experience playing in a wide variety of styles, including rock, pop, funk and metal. So if you're into Stevie Wonder, Slayer or anything in-between, Rory can help you learn to play the styles you enjoy most. It is recommended that students take weekly lessons, and make an effort to practice in-between to make the most of their tuition.

Experience
Rory has experience teaching both children and adults in one to one classes. In addition, he has worked with Rockschool UK to deliver group band workshops during school holidays. Students of all abilities are welcome, whether you've never played a note or are a seasoned player looking to take your shredding to the next level! Lessons are available both online and in person.

Your first lesson
During your first lesson, you will chat about your previous musical experience and proficiency on the instrument (if you have none that's absolutely fine too)! You will discuss the genres you're interested in learning and what your musical goals are.

Professional Background
In addition to teaching, Rory is working musician and experienced performer, who regularly gigs across the country. He performs with a number of bands in varying genres, giving him the skills and versatility to tailor lessons to all students.
