About Rob Cope MA BMus(Hons)

Rob is a freelance teacher and performer. Rob studied at the Royal Academy of Music and after 12 years in London has now moved back to Sandbach. Rob teaches privately as well as at being a visiting music teacher at Shrewsbury School.

Rob wants lessons to be fun and accessible for everyone, no matter what age or ability you are! It is important that we work together towards your musical goals, and Rob will always make sure you feel that your needs are met!

Much like Harry Potter’s wand, the instrument often chooses the student. If you don’t already play an instrument then trying a few in a consultation can be a great start. Rob teaches all ages and abilities, from beginners to diploma students.

Rob teaches saxophone, clarinet, flute, recorder, piano and music theory as well as aural lessons for upcoming exams.

He performs in Matt Robert’s Bigish Band, Andy Scott’s Group S and contemporary classical ensemble, SoundSPARK. He has appeared with the Halle Orchestra for over 15 years and the English Symphony Orchestras as well as with the Matthew Herbert Big Band. Rob creates podcasts and films in his spare time.
